Homes for Sale in Covington LA

The city of Covington is distinguished as the parish seat of St. Tammany Parish. Located about 35 miles to the north of New Orleans, Covington is found within the New Orleans-Metairie-Kenner Metropolitan Area. It is thought that the city was perhaps named after General Leonard Covington, who was a prominent figure in the War of 1812. However, some historians disagree that this was the actual source of the city’s name.
